What a fun, sticky, science-y week we've had! The kids have been learning about the Scientific Method as we get ready to launch our first science unit. We did an experiment this week to find out what happens when gummy bears are left overnight in water. The results were a surprise right up to the end! We started our Math Center rotations this week and took our first math quiz today on Place Value. The kids were a little nervous about taking their quiz, but after a little pep talk, they showed their thinking with confidence and accuracy and I am super proud of them! Today we completed our first entry in our Parent Journal. This is a special journal that your child will bring home every other Friday that you will read over the weekend and respond back to. This is such a special opportunity for you and your child to share with each other, and I hope it will be a great keepsake for you when the school year is through. Please be sure to read the instructions on the inside of the journal and respond back by Tuesday. The pictures in today's Remind text show a really cool moth with noticed when we were coming back from Art today. Ask your child if they remember what kind of moth it is. We were so amazed by his size and his cool camouflaged wings.
