Optional Fun: *Make a Nature Collage: During an exploration of your yard, collect interesting objects you see and odd things in a bag or bucket. When the exploration is over, create a collage of everything you found. Use glue to adhere items to a piece of cardboard or paper. You can use the items to create different animals and creatures using additional supplies such as pipe cleaners, google eyes, pebbles, sticks, pine cones and feathers. Be creative! Office hours for Mrs. Cook will be 9:00 – 10:30 each morning. It’s Camp Week! Get ready for some camping fun this week at Camp Learned-A-Lot. Math (30 minutes): Complete the “Math Challenge – Cabin Puzzle” activity in SeeSaw. Camp Challenge (optional): Construct a fort/tent in your home or backyard or set up and decorate a tent if you have one. Take a picture or video of it and send it to me on Seesaw. Reading (30 minutes): Find a cozy place to read a book for 20-30 minutes. Don’t forget to check out the latest chapters of Frindle on SeeSaw! **If you made a fort or tent, you can read in it with a flashlight. Writing (20 minutes): Write a trail mix recipe that you might make if you were camping. You can include any ingredients you want in your recipe. If you actually have the ingredients at home you can make your recipe. Upload your recipe to Seesaw once you are finished. If you do make your recipe send a picture of that too! 😊 Camp Choice Board: CLICK HERE and choose an activity from the Camping Steam Choice Board. Remember, you should be reading every day for at least 20 minutes. The more the better! Writing (45 minutes): Now that you have brainstormed your personal narrative and started writing your introduction, I want you to write your story. CLICK HERE for your writing prompt. Think about this as being an on-demand writing prompt like we do at the end of each writing unit. You’ll be writing the whole story today and you should take about 45 minutes to do this. You may choose to write on notebook paper and post your work in SeeSaw or type your story in Word and share it with me. Either, way, please use the checklist and read over your work before submitting. Social Studies (15 minutes) Login to Clever and visit Studies Weekly.
