Office hours for Mrs. Cook will be 9:00 – 10:30 each morning. Subject # of minutes Math: 30 Complete “Round to the Nearest 10” and “Round to the Nearest 100” in activities SeeSaw. You may choose to watch Mrs. Cook’s video review to help you. Extension Option: Choose an activity from the Week 2 Math Choice Board Link in SeeSaw. Limited Tech Option: Round these numbers to the nearest 10 and nearest 100: 721, 837, 293, 376, 412, and 648 Reading: 30 Listen to Mrs. Cook’s read aloud of The Great Mouse Detective – Chapter 1. *Check your inbox in SeeSaw to find the story. After listening to Chapter 1, you will go to your Class Notebook in Office 365 and respond to the three questions from Chapter 1. Read independently for the remainder of reading. Remember, you should be reading independently every day for at least 20 minutes. The more the better! Limited Tech Option: Create a notebook to compile your answers to the end-of-chapter questions. Copy down these questions for chapter 1 and answer them in your notebook: 1. What is the setting of the story? 2. What characters are introduced in chapter 1? 3. What problem is introduced in chapter 1? Science: 30 Click HERE to go to your Science assignment in BrainPop Jr. *The Make-A-Map may be a little tricky at first. Give it a try and see what you can come up with. 😊 If the link doesn’t take you directly to your assignment, follow these steps instead: Go into Makinvia or Clever and click on Brain Pop Jr. Watch the video titled: “Heat”. Then complete the online quiz or quizzes after watching it (you can try out both the easy and hard quizzes or just do one or the other). Then click on Create a Map. Create a new map explaining what you learned about Heat in the video. Use the tools in the tool bar on the left side of the screen to include images and keywords into your map. Be creative! Take a screen shot of your map or print your map when you are done and upload it to Seesaw.
