Digital Learning for Monday, April 27th
Office hours for Mrs. Cook will be 9:00 – 10:30 each morning. Math (30 minutes): We are finishing up our unit on Polygons and now is time to apply you’ve been learning these past few weeks in a fun and artistic way! Today you will complete the “Polygon STEAM Challenge” activity in SeeSaw. Be creative! Use chalk, paint, food, things from nature, or whatever medium you choose! You will have until Friday to complete this assignment. Reading (30 minutes): Today you will be logging into StoryWorks Jr. to read a very interesting article about American Wolves. For this, you will need the class code to login. Check your inbox in SeeSaw for our class code. Then complete the SeeSaw activity called “Cause/Effect – Saving America’s Wolves.” Read independently for the remainder of reading. Remember, you should be reading every day for at least 20 minutes. The more the better! Optional Fun: We are going to begin a new chapter book today, Frindle by Andrew Clements. Find the video on your SeeSaw inbox. Writing (20 minutes): You guys have worked so hard on your Fairy Tale Adaptations. Some of you may be ready to share yours. When you have completed revising your story, I would like for you to record yourself reading your story aloud on FlipGrid. We will share a few of these FlipGrid read-alouds each Friday on our class Zoom Meeting! CLICK HERE to go to the FlipGrid. *If you are not ready to read yours aloud, its okay. Keep working on revisions. We will only be able to share a few each week at our Zoom Meeting.
