Digital Learning for Tuesday, April 21st:
Office hours for Mrs. Cook will be 9:00 – 10:30 each morning. Math (30 minutes): Grab your Math Journal and get ready to follow along with Mrs. Cook’s video about Quadrilaterals. Find this video in SeeSaw. (It is in two parts). Extension Option: CLICK HERE for your Quadrilaterals Math Choice Board. I would like for you to complete at least two of these this week. Work on it a little each day. 😊 Reading (30 minutes): We have finished The Great Mouse Detective – Basil of Baker Street. I would like for you to take a Reading Counts quiz on this book. Please note that the title of the book in Reading Counts is “Basil of Baker Street”. If you don’t type this in as the title, the book will not pop up. To login to Reading Counts, please click on the Reading Links tab at the top of my blog page. You'll find the link there. I've also added a link on my Clever page. Limited Tech Option: Write a one-page summary about the story. Post your summary to SeeSaw. Read independently for the remainder of reading. Remember, you should be reading every day for at least 20 minutes. The more the better! Writing (30 minutes): You have been working so hard on your Fairy Tale adaptations. This week, I would like for you to read over your story from beginning to end and make any corrections or revisions that are needed. You may even want to add illustrations to your fairy tale and create your own book with some pieces of paper stapled together. Post your revisions to SeeSaw so that I can give you some feedback. Social Studies (30 minutes): Today we are going to begin our next Social Studies unit on Colonial Americans. For today’s assignment, you will go to Clever and click on Georgia Studies Weekly. CLICK HERE for detailed instructions on how to do this. When you get into Studies Weekly, you will select Week 13 and read the first article “The Mystery of the Lost Colony of Roanoke.” After reading the article, answer the quiz questions at the bottom of the page. You will only read this one article today. You can even watch the introduction video if you’d like.
